A picture is worth a thousand words. A number of computer generated perspectives and photos showing the proposed tower development at Kingsway and Broadway are in the picture gallery below. The pictures help illustrate the shear scale and size of the proposed design. Please check back as more pictures are being added in the next couple of weeks.
How was the computer model created? The City of Vancouver and the architects did not release their models. This computer massing model was built from scratch using the architectural drawings for the Oct 2011 proposal on the City’s website here. This computer model was been provided to the City of Vancouver for verification as requested by planning staff on January 27th. In addition to using the architectural drawings (floor plans, sections, elevations), information from the city’s Open Data website was also referenced (contour lines, property lines and aerial photographs).

Awesome perspective. A city of Toronto councilor had a meeting with Gregor and his development team this past weekend and I am trying to find out if they are already in the developer’s pocket.
What absolutely blows my mind is how many people are opposed to this development in it’s current state (and rightly so) but are ‘intimidated’ to speak against it at the Public Hearing!
OMG people, what are you, adults or children! Get over it and have your day, it’s not to late and if approximately 10-12 informed and committed citizens could do all of this work for you, the very least you can do is speak up! Developers and the City thrive where their own agenda is concerned because of peoples apathy!
Exercise your rights, have your say and stop being bullied. We can be successful if we show up in numbers as this shows the city that the community and the citizens mean business.
If people aren’t going to speak then they should show up to show that although there are many they are represented by a few.
